With plenty of outdoor activities, it’s quite easy to have an adventure at Deep Creek Lake. From canoes and kayaks to rock climbing to skiing and snowboarding, DCL is exploding with unique ways to get your engagement photography on. This session by Jessica Fike Photography took place at Deep Creek State Park, and we love the way these two explore bike riding and canoeing together. This session will definitely make you ready for Spring and the great outdoors!
From Jessica (the photographer):
Maureen and Tom are so cool. They’re Garrett County locals who love where they live, love the great outdoors and LOVE EACH OTHER, or “lovey dovey”, as Maureen likes to call it.
They decided they’d like to include their bikes (they ride together often, and Tom is an especially huge fan), a canoe and their dog in their engagement session, so we met at Deep Creek Lake State Park. Big trees surrounded Maureen and Tom as they rode bikes on the trail, Parker enjoyed the scents of nature and the setting sun glazed over as the two shared a canoe ride together (and I climbed on some rocks to get the perfect shot).
Their fun and friendly personalities, sense of adventure and genuine love for each other (which so clearly came out in their simple interactions) made this session refreshing and joyful. I’m excited to work with them for their September 2017 wedding here at the lake.
Thanks for sharing, Jessica! Best of luck with your big day, Maureen and Tom!
