Deep Creek Lake is full of hidden treasures and one of the newest additions to our collection of gems is Blue Moon Rising. Blue Moon Rising is part of an ecotourism movement and supports sustainability all while providing adorable cottages and cabins for overnights and a gorgeous outdoor venue for your wedding ceremony. Get lost in the woods with Blue Moon Rising and Amberlee Christey Photography.

From Amberlee Christey Photography:
Blue Moon Rising was such an awesome new venue! It was like driving up to a bunch of little hobbit houses all over the place and then a fairy tale ceremony spot! And the teepees for the cocktail hour and reception!!!! How fun is that?!?!?! It is so nice that both families plus some have the houses to stay in for the whole weekend and can spend time together around campfires! Both families were the absolute nicest too and gave the best hugs ever! One of my favorite things Abby’s dad said for the toast was, “You know as the father of the bride, you are most likely going to find something you don’t like about the guy who’s going to take away your daughter, but not with Hank. We’ve never felt that way.” Insert melted heart right there folks. I could seriously go on and on about the day and the love that was just flowing.

When Hank proposed he also gave Veda a little tiny ring, that she wore at the wedding. What a sweet and perfect way to symbolize his dedication to this adorable little lady! We love it.

A Wedding in the Woods at Swallow Falls State Park
Two Frostburg State alum Rob and Ruth tied the knot during a wedding in the woods at Swallow Falls State Park. Deep Creek Lake is known for its outdoor scenery and Swallow Falls is a local and tourist favorite! A short walk back the path leads to falls of differing sizes and speeds. You can stand at the top, bottom, and middle of Muddy Creek Falls with the sun shining down on your shoulders as the water pours over the rock's edge and the mist rises into the air. Maria from Made-Up Photography captured this summer wedding and expresses her joy in capturing the nuptials between these two lovebirds. "Rob and Ruth became my friends through what ...
Britani Edwards Photography
The combination of the sweet, feminine details and charm and elegance of Chanteclaire Farm is what caught my eye from this barn wedding in Garrett County. Captured by Britani Edwards Photography, Sarah and John's wedding was full of spring cheer and romantic scenes. The white door entrance at the ceremony and the lush, blush florals throughout seemed to be the perfect wedding day adornments for their venue. There was also a touch of unique personality with shotgun shell details and cowboy boots. FROM BRITANI (the photographer): I am beyond thrilled to share this rustic Maryland farm wedding with you! Much thought was put into every d ...
