ABOUT PETE'S PHOTOBOOTH RENTALS

P1040920

Peter Leavesley shares the story of Pete’s Photobooth Rentals: Pete’s Photobooth Rentals started with my daughter’s wedding in June 2017. My daughter Tina and her fiancé Drew met in 2010 while hiking the Appalachian Trail, so they wanted a mountain top/view wedding in Virginia. She wanted to have a photobooth at her wedding, but due to the remoteness of the location, the photobooth rental companies were quite expensive. While helping her research possible rental options, I thought that starting a quality and affordable photobooth rental business could be an interesting new venture for me.

Q+A WITH PETE'S PHOTOBOOTH RENTALS

WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN COMMON WITH YOUR CLIENTS?

We both like to have good clean fun. A photobooth is a perfect way to catch people being funny.

WHAT MADE ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE EVENTS SO SPECIAL?

I guess here I am very biased: my daughter’s wedding was one of my favorite events. She insisted on planning her own wedding with as little help as possible from family members. It was tough sometimes watching her struggle through some parts of her planning process. But in the end she pulled off a beautiful wedding, I am so proud of her.

WHAT TOOL CAN YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT?

With a good pocket knife I can fix a lot of things.

WHAT IS THE HIGHEST COMPLIMENT A COUPLE CAN GIVE YOU?

“We would use your services again!”

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I am a driven man, so I like to do everything extremely well. According to my wife I am a perfectionist, thus whatever I strive to do, I want to see it finished perfectly.

WHY SHOULD A COUPLE MARRY IN DEEP CREEK LAKE/GARRETT COUNTY AREA?

It’s such a wonderful place. The lake, rivers, woods to the mountain tops offer such a wide variety of beautiful settings. Not too hot in the summer and the colors in the fall are second to none.

IF YOUR BUSINESS WAS A BEVERAGE, WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE?

I am English born and raised so my taste is a little different to most Americans. A vintage Port, a sipping drink with a complex flavor to be savored after a fine meal.
